    5) Primary Data Requirement:

    • The research should be based on primary data, including psychological constructs (preferably with two continuous variables). It should not focus on aspects like finding prevalence, incidence, awareness, or only gender differences, or on test construction and adaptation. Secondary data should not be the basis of the study.

    6) Title:

    • The title should be specific and reflect the important variables in the study.

    7) Literature Review:

    • The review should include studies related to the variables in the study and should be written in a narrative style, not in bullet points.

    • The sample size should be adequate. Suggestions can be given to increase it. It might be less depending on the design and objectives of the study.

    11) Tools for Data Collection:

    • Standardized tools need to be used. If a self-developed questionnaire is used, it needs to follow a standardization procedure.

    12) Data Analysis Techniques:

    • Techniques for data analysis need to be specified.

    13) Suggestions and Comments:

    • Provide suggestions and comments for each component as mentioned in Appendix-II.

    14) Evaluation Categories:

    • Evaluation falls into three categories: Approved, Approved with modifications, and Not approved. Each category represents different levels of approval and requires varying degrees of modification.

    15) Contact for Queries:

    • For any queries or suggestions related to project synopsis evaluation, please contact the Faculty at projectpsychology@ignou.ac.in.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure a thorough evaluation of your synopsis and proceed towards the successful completion of your project dissertation.
